Satellite event: Covid-19: the urgent call for a unified statistical and demographic challenge.
Abstract (English)
Universities around the world have responded to the emergency arising from the Covid-19 pandemic by moving teaching activities online. Nowadays it is important to study on the effects of this sudden change on students’life. This paper proposes some reflections on the effects that the closure of universities has had on the performance and characteristics of university students. The proposed empirical analysis is based on data from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy.

Le Università di tutto il mondo hanno risposto all’emergenza derivante dalla pandemia da Covid-19 con il trasferimento online delle attività didattiche. In questo periodo in cui la pandemia ancora perdura ma anche in prospettiva di una totale ripresa, è importante riflettere sugli effetti di questo cambio repentino che ha investo gli studenti di ogni ordine e grado. Questo lavoro propone alcune riflessioni sugli effetti che la chiusura delle strutture universitarie ha avuto sulla performance e sulle caratteristiche degli studenti universitari. L’analisi empirica proposta è basata sui dati relativi all’Università di Napoli Federico II.
